I absolutely loved it. Without a doubt it will make my top ten list of reads; if I had finished it a week earlier, I would have bounced a book off my list to make room for it. This is a superb character study of two people, Brady and Eve, especially Eve/5(K).

Abby Fabiaschi's I LIKED MY LIFE was heartbreaking, thought-provoking, and so very wonderfully written that I poured through this story. And cried. A lot. I'd have read it in a day had I not wanted to keep to the sections of my Book Club. I Liked My Life by Abby Fabiaschi. The book begins just after Maddy's death - she's jumped from the roof of the library where she regularly volunteered. She leaves behind her husband, Brady, and their seventeen-year-old daughter Eve, and both of them are floored by Maddy's suicide. They had no idea she was unhappy, both of them blithely. Abby Fabiaschi is a human rights advocate and co-founder of Empower Her Network, a nonprofit that paves a path for survivors of human trafficking with a will for independence. In Abby resigned from her executive post in high tech to pursue a career in writing. I LIKED MY LIFE is her first novel.
